Port Blair, August 08: Fuming against increasing and unscheduled power outage in the city the party workers of Bharthiya Janta Party staged a protest today at Bhathubasthi Junction following a public meeting.
As per reports, after the public meeting the party worker blocked the main road of the Bhathubasthi Junction i.e just opposite to Karpagam Hotel for ten minutes.After 10 minutes of road blockage the party workers burnt the effigy of the Electricity Department in the said area and demanded the administration to solve the problem of Power Outage which is increasing in the city. Around 40-50 party workers participated in the protest.
