Port Blair, August 08: The Ograbraj Police Unit seized around 110 grams of Ganja from the possession of a person, resident of Town Nagar, Ferrargunj yesterday.
The raid was conducted by the police team in the house of the accused. As per reports, during the search operation the accused tried to commit suicide by consuming insecticide following which the SHO Ograbraj Police Station, Inspector Shabana Hanif immediately rushed the accused to the nearby Tushnabad PHC from where the accused was later shifted to the GB Pant Hospital.
According to sources, earlier also the police had booked the accused under NDPS Act.
The entire raid was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Bambooflat, MA Nausad and SHO Shabana Hanif and team including to independent witnesses. Further details in this regard is awaited.
