Port Blair, July 04: A rider of a over speeding Moped who was on his way to Minnie Bay today at around 05:00 pm lost his control over the Moped, while overtaking a bus opposite to School Line School.
As per sources, after the Moped Rider lost the grip of the Moped, the Moped went out of control, hitting a bike, before diving inside massive drain of Lamba Line, just opposite of the School Line School. The Bike Rider suffered major injuries and later got five stitches in his right leg, it is learnt.
The funniest part was that the Moped Rider who is said to be a Navy Jawan escaped unhurt and ran away from the place in a bus, just after the incident. Sources also said that a Bottle of IMFL was also found from the Moped of the Navy Jawan.
Hundreds of people soon gathered to see the Moped inside the Drain following which a team of Traffic Police Unit immediately reached the spot and controlled the situation of the area.
According to sources, Aberdeen Police has registered appropriate case against the Moped Rider. Further details are awaited.
