Port Blair, Mar 21: An Outreach RCH Camp was organized by the District Health Society (SA) of the District Administration under National Health Mission at Sub Centre Rangachang today. Ms. Mitali Goel, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SA), inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, while the Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Beodnabad, Ms. Shanti also graced the occasion. The chief guest urged the gathering to avail the services provided in the camp and remained healthy.
The people were informed about the objectives of the programme, which aimed at providing specialists services at the door steps of the community in the rural areas.
Ms. V. Shanti expressed gratitude to the District Health Society, South Andaman for organizing such camp for benefit of the villagers.
Altogether 52 patients were screened in the camp, of which 11 were antenatal cases and 41 were out patients, who were provided consuntancy and in the camp itself. Dr. Kusum Kunwar, Gyanecologist, Dist. Hospital Garachrama and Dr. Shivani Rao, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, ANIIMS conducted the RCH camp.
Similar camp will be organized at Sub Centre Wandoor on 23rd March, 2017, Sub Centre Sholbay-19 on 24th March, 2017 and Sub Centre Hope Town on 25th March, 2017.
