Port Blair, Mar 06: The Honda City 2017, was launched in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Saturday in its showroom at Dollygunj here.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Shri. Sagar Khurana MD, Prince Honda said that in Andaman there is already huge craze for the new Honda City.
As per details, with its updated list of features and reworked styling, the City aims to reclaim its lost crown as the king of C-segment sedans.
The story under the hood remains pretty much the same as the outgoing model. The car is offered with either a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel mill, which is tuned to pump out 100PS/200Nm and comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission only, or a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, which generates 119PS/145Nm and comes with a choice of a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
While the ARAI mileage figures for the petrol MT and diesel MT stand at 17.4km/l and 25.6km/l (both 0.4 lower than the outgoing model), the CVT retains the same mileage of 18 km/l.
On the outside, the refreshed City gets tweaked front and rear bumpers, LED-powered headlamps, taillights, fog-lamps and brake light on the spoiler, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The front grille gets a more aggressive makeover with a bigger Honda badge, and the front bumper now houses larger air vents.
Inside the cabin, the Honda City facelift is now offered with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in GPS navigation, support for video playback, MirrorLink connectivity for smartphones, voice recognition and feed from the rear-view camera. Other features include all-LED reading lights, cruise control, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and an electric sunroof that boasts one-touch operation for extending or retracting it.
