Port Blair, Dec 14: Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Union alongwith NABARD started Micro Entrepreneurship Development Programme (MEDP) of Tailoring & Fashion Designing training for the Self Help Groups members of Havelock Island On 13/12/2016 at Govind Nagar Panchayat Hall at 10.00 am.
Altogether 35 participants attend the programme. Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman, Andaman & Nicobar State Coop. Union inaugurated the training programme. Shri. Sharma said that Skill development like Tailoring & Fashion Designing training are the best ways for employment generation in the Island.
The Ladies of Havelock Island those who are unemployed this are the best ways to gain the training for employment generation as Havelock is one of the major Tourism Hub of the Island. And tourists from all over the Country come at Havelock, so they can have the benefit of this. Shri. Sharma said there are many other training programmes in skill development such as Cane & Bamboo, beautician course, computer Cource, Tourism Courses etc. for women’s to generate self employment.
