Port Blair, Dec 14: The Member of Parliament of A & N Islands Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray has been nominated for the important 62nd Common Wealth Parliamentary conference, by the Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha.
The delegation of seven Members of Parliament from India including Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, led by the Hon’ble deputy speaker Dr. M. Thambi Durai reached London on 11th December to take part in the Conference.
The other members of the delegation are Mr. Varun Gandhi, Smti Meenakshi Lekhi, Kumari Selja, Dr. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and Mr. Sukhendu Sekhar Roy.
Mr. B.P. Ray has received the honour to deliver speech in the workshop to be conducted during the conference on 15th Dec. 2016. The topic will be “There is a role for the Common wealth in fostering freedom of religion or belief”.
The 5 days conference will commence from 13th dec.2016. Many workshops, lectures and discussions on various important topics are scheduled during the conference. The delegations of the member countries of the Common wealth will take part in the conference.
