Port Blair, Nov 21: The Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture, A&N Administration will organize NAVODIT-Festival of Music and Dance by Young Artists for two days on 25th -26th November, 2016. The inaugural function of the festival will be held at ASI Auditorium on 25th November, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm whereas on the next second day it will be held at Chouldari Community Hall. Renowned classical and folk dancers and singers from member states of EZCC namely Shri Dharmendra Kumar (Folk Singer from Bihar) ,Ms Satabdee Banerjee (Gaudiya Nritya of West Bengal), Ms Debjaya Sarkar (Kathak Dancer), Minakshi Dhitria-(Folk artist of Odisha) Ms Sayani Chakraborty (Bhartanatyam), Dhananjoy Dhibar (Jhumur & Baul song from WB) and well known classical artists from these islands will also perform during the two days festival.
Sahitya Utsav will be held on 25th November, 2016 at ASI Auditorium from 10.30 am to 1 pm wherein about 22 well known local poets will take part along with two eminent poets from mainland.
