Port Blair, Nov 20: A team of CBI reportedly conducted a raid on Friday evening at the Directorate of Health Services and Chief Medical Officer, Store.
The CBI team is believed to be investigating the issue of alleged procurement of medicines, more than the demands, placed by the Peripheral Hospitals.
There were already many allegations against the Directorate of Health Services regarding procurement of medicines, especially branded medicines. Highly placed sources told Andaman Sheekha that one Homoeopathy Pharmacist, who has nothing to do in the Medical Store but is taking final call on purchase of medicines and other crucial decisions, is also in the target of Investigating Agencies.
Till now no arrest has been made in this regard and CBI is presently going through the documents, that they have gathered from the DHS office.
