Diglipur, Oct 28: A near catastrophe yesterday evening was averted at Diglipur bazaar due to swift action of the shopkeeper and Fire personnel of Diglipur region.
As per reports, the fire occurred at a cloth store of Diglipur Bazaar ‘Meenakshi Deepali’ opposite to Vegetable market due to short circuit, it is learnt. It is also learnt that looking at the fire the Shopkeeper immediately switched of the power supply.
On information two fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire. The power supply to the bazaar area restored after one hour.
As per sources, surplus electric load was the reason behind the fire, it is learnt.
