Port Blair, Oct 28: Nearly forty students of GSSS Pout Mout gathered in front of the school this afternoon to express their support for the Physical Education Teacher of the school, who was arrested yesterday by the Ograbraj Police for molesting a minor student of the school.
The students gathered outside the school reportedly claimed that the Physical Education Teacher is innocent and he has been framed. Students gathered outside the school also claimed that there is a motive behind such allegation on the said PET and demanded proper inquiry.
However, after the intervention of the Pradhan of the area Mohan Halder and convincing approach by the Station Head Officer Rizwan Hassan the gathering dispersed.
Meanwhile, the physical education teacher has been sent to the Judicial Custody for 14 days and the minor girl has given her statement u/s 164 Cr. P.C in front of the judge today.
