Port Blair, Aug 31: This is for the information of the Stage carriage Operators plying buses on ATR as well as local routes that instances have come to the notice of STA that persons are purchasing the existing Stage Carriage Buses and unauthorizedly plying the Stage Carriage Buses without transferring the ownership of the vehicle and obtaining a Permit in their name. Plying of Stage Carriage buses by anonymous, unidentified and unauthorized Persons other than the Permit holder as mentioned in the Permit is a violation of Section 66 & Section 72 of Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and would warrant action for Cancellation of Permit and Registration of Vehicle under Section 86 & Section 54 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988. All stage carriage operators/agents are hereby informed to refrain from such practices.
