Port Blair, July 20: The Namunaghar and Hope Town Panchayat lack basic sports facilities for the youths of the area.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Sports and Youth affairs, A & N Administration, Port Blair; The BJP State President, Mr Vishal Jolly has raised the issue. He stated that the Pradhan of Namunaghar and Hopetown are concerned over the non- availability of sports facilities and Gym Equipments in the area.
He added facts like maintaining good physique and fitness is of foremost important and the youth have to maintain healthy living habits. It will also be helpful for the youths to prepare for defense selection and other physical tests. It will boost the young generation and will ultimately better the society. He has requested to provide the basic equipments as early as possible.
