Diglipur, July 18: The renovation and replacement of nine bailey bridges at Diglipur has been started by the APWD.
Initially the urgent works, one at Nabagram and near Radha Gobind temple at Subhash Gram has been taken up after that Madhyam Gram will be started.
Total replacement will be done at Shyam Nagar and Madhyam gram bridges and other bridges will be repaired thereafter.
Temporary bridge for the pedestrians is constructed at Nabagram with the help of the pipe poles; big vehicles will be able to cross the river through the river.
Police personnel have been deployed 24X7 at the bridge specially to assist the school children’s and elders.
Administration organised a meeting in this regard with PRIs and situation is being monitoring. STS arranged a bus on the other side of the river which will carry passengers from Ramnagar to Nagagram village and another bus is arranged will carry the same passengers from Nabagram to Diglipur bazar and return.
