Port Blair, July 8: The local Met office has forecast heavy rains between 7 to 11 am at isolated places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during in the next 24 hrs. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest Monsoon current, strong Southwesterly wind speed between 35 to 45 kmph and generally rough seas are likely along and off A & N coasts and fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. The general public is advised to take precautionary measures and contact the State Control Room, District Control Room and Emergency Operation Centres in case of any emergency.
