Port Blair, July 08: The Police Training School, Prothrapur organized a one day training programme on 08/07/2016 in collaboration with ANIIMS & DHS, A&N Islands on ‘First Aid Techniques’ to provide immense help and pre-hospital Trauma Care to the accident victims under the project “Golden Hour Trauma Care” introduced by the National Police Mission, Micro-Mission:03 (Communication & Technology), GOI, Ministry of Home Affairs, under the supervision of Smti. Geeta Rani Verma, IPS, Principal, PTS. The course was inaugurated by Shri B. Saigal, Chief Fire Officer, Port Blair, who emphasized the objectives of the course and to make aware about the importance of First Aid Techniques for Police personnel.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Professor, ANIIMS, Port Blair delivered lectures on various techniques on First Aid with demonstration. Altogether, 27 Police personnel from the various Police Stations & units had participated. The course was appreciated and valued by all the participants.
