Port Blair, June 23: An amount of Rs 35000 was stolen from a Bakery at Bambooflat at wee hours today.
However, the thief was caught by PS Bambooflat within few hours after the police team got CCTV footage.
Sources said that the thief was released from Prothrapur jail only yesterday. He was earlier arrested for stealing cash worth Rs. 4 lakh from Stewart Gunj area.
The name of the accused is Mr Suresh, a resident of Andha Veda and his act of stealing was captured by CCTV cameras.
