Port Blair, March 20: Three minor fire accidents have been reported from the city in the last two days.
As per reports, yesterday morning a fire was reported from the SAD office, opposite to Government Petrol Pump, Aberdeen Bazaar. The fire took place allegedly due to the negligence of the staffs of SAD office who allegedly forgot to switch off a table fan while leaving the office, which resulted in short circuit.
However, due to a swift action of the Fire Brigade the fire was controlled on time.
The other two fire incidents took place at Old Pahargaon and Wimberlygunj. According to sources, both were bush fire incidents and the reason behind both the fire accidents is believed to be careless smoking.
