Port Blair, Mar 18: In reply to the un-starred Question No.2717 raised by Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament A & N Islands, in the Lok Sabha which to be answered on 14/03/2016, in regard to whether the Andaman and Nicobar Administration has taken any decision on the report submitted by the Committee constituted for providing relief to the Ex-workers of ATI Ltd., Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of State (IC) for Labour and Employment has informed to the Parliament that the recommendation of the committee could not be implemented since the matter was subjudice before Hon’ble Apex court. However, the matter has been recently disposed off by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. This Administration shall take a decision in this respect shortly.”
