Port Blair, Mar 18: The Police Training School, A&N Police took up an initiative for imparting training of Un-Armed Combat (UAC) for gents and Weapon & Tactics for ladies Police personnel of various Police Station and Units of A&N Islands to tackle any kind of unforeseen situation and to build self-confidence amongst them. A total of 24 Police personnel for UAC and 20 ladies Police personnel for Weapon & Tactics have successfully completed these courses. After assessment their performance and examination result the following Police personnel have secured positions, i.e. 1st position – PC/2827 R. Sravan Kumar, 2nd position – PC/2814 Nadeer P., 3rd position – PC/294 Hari Prasad in UAC and 1st position – PC/2788 Seema Marki, 2nd position – PC/2613 Kalawati, 3rd position – PC/362 Mini Tigga in Weapon & Tactics.
ON conclusion of the course, an amazing demonstration of Un Armed Combat (UAC) and Weapon & Tactics was organized on 18.01.2016 at Police Line Parade Ground. Shri N.S. Bundela, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, A&N Islands who was the Chief Guest inaugurated the demonstration. Dazzling events like kata movement, punches, kicks & Block, breaking of solid objects, fire actions, safety measures, rifle show, and specialty in weapon handling were performed by the trainees who have been trained in this field.
The Chief Guest gave away the Trophies, course completion certificates with cash rewards of Rs. 1000/-, Rs. 750/- and Rs. 500/- to the Police personnel who secured merit positions. While acknowledging the trainees, the chief guest appreciated the winners and participants who shown awesome performance, and applauded that the event will certainly make aware the inner strength of Police personnel and advised all the Police personnel to build self-confidence as well as to make themselves physically and mentally strong.
The Principal, Police Training School Shri Santosh Kumar Meena, IPS also expressed happiness regarding the event and encouraged all Police personnel to remain physically fit and highlighted that the target of these course were to improve their skills, build confidence to defend themselves and their locality, besides creating a positive attitude towards life through self-confidence & self-discipline.
