Port Blair, Feb 04: Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution is scheduled to arrive at Port Blair on 05.02.2016 on a two-day visit to the Islands.
The itinerary of the Union Minister during his stay here includes Inter-session meeting of the Consultative Committee of Consumers Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and formal launch of the National Food Security Act in A&N Islands at the conference hall of Megapode Resort at 1300 hours. The Union Minister will also be addressing a press conference at Megapode Resort on 05.02.2016 at 1305 hours.
The programme for 06.02.2016 includes meeting of the Consultative Committee of Consumers Affairs, Food and Public Distribution at Havelock.
The Union Minister will also be visiting the National Memorial Cellular Jail and Ross Island.
On completion of visit, Shri Paswan will leave for the mainland on 07.02.2016.
