Port Blair, Feb 03: In accordance with the provision of Rule 4 (f) and (k) of Andaman and Nicobar Marine Fishing Rules, 2004 all the fishing licences granted will expire on 31st March – 2016, hence, all the fishing boat owners/fishers are directed to get their Fishing licences renewed immediately.
The renewal work of all the Fishing licences for the year 2016–17 falling within the jurisdiction of South Andaman District will commence from 4th February, 2016. All the boat owners/Fishers are directed to get their fishing licences renewed within the prescribed time limit.
As usual all the Fishers of Port Blair Municipal area are advised to approach their respective CSC or Area Fishery Officer for the purpose of renewal/issue of licence and registration.
For the Fisher community residing outside Port Blair Municipal area such as under Panchayat Samity Prothrapur, Ferrargunj and Little Andaman the licence and registration work will be attended by the concerned area Fishery Officers of the Fisheries Department.
Along-with renewal of licence basic data form for the preparation of Marine Fisher ID. Card for leftover Fishers will also be taken up by the staff of Fisheries Department, hence the leftover Fishers are also requested to report along-with Ration card/Islander card /Election card etc. for enrolment.
