Port Blair, Feb 03: Time and again the Revenue Administration has been advising the general public not to indulge in unlawful activities and refrain from encroaching government revenue land.
Taking a serious view on the encroachment issue, the District Administration has intensified the eviction drive and about 20 hutments were removed from School Line Village today on 03rd February 2016.
Based on the findings in the matter of encroachments in Calicut village, special eviction drive of which was carried out on 02-02-2016, 03 (Three) revenue officials were booked for dereliction of duties. 02 (Two) officials have been placed under suspension with immediate effect.
All revenue officers/officials have been warned not to silage the encroachment in any manner and if found guilty, immediate action against the erring officials shall be initiated.
