Port Blair, Jan 07: A 2-Day Zonal Level Science, Arts and Crafts Exhibition 2015 from 07/01/2016 to 08/01/2016 organized by the Deputy Education Officer, Middle Andaman, Rangat at Lower Block of GSSS Rangat opened today the 07th January 2015 at 10:30 am.
Miss Prabhabati Biswas, Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, N & M Andaman was the Chief Guest on the occasion of its inaugural function. The Chief Guest appreciated the children for their hard work and encouraged as well as blessed them for active participation in such exhibition in future. He also appreciated the teachers who encouraged, helped and guided the children for making exhibits.
Earlier Shri Shushen Mallick, Deputy Education Officer, Middle Andaman Rangat welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries present over there and appreciated the students for showing their hidden challenge and keen observation of the project they prepared for science Exhibition.
Shri S. Sankaran, Principal, GSSS Balkultala also spoke on the occasion.
All together 31 Schools from Orlakatcha to Basantipur took part and 95 exhibits were displayed in the science exhibition where students come up with their innovative ideas which is use full for human civilization. From these 95 exhibits, 21 exhibits were selected to be displayed in the state level science exhibition to be held at Port Blair from 13th to 15th January 2015.
The inaugural function ended with vote of thanks proposed by Smti. Rita Banerjee, Principal GSSS Rangat.
