Port Blair, Dec 22: The Air Force Station Port Blair under the aegis of Air Force component and Headquarter Andaman and Nicobar Command launched the Road Safety awareness week celebration with a lecture on road safety by the Andaman & Nicobar police. The week long programme had an array of events on road safety which included lectures on first aid to air warriors and their families, quiz competition, presentations on road safety and nukkad show. The event culminated with flagging off an awareness bike rally in coordination with Andaman & Nicobar police by Gp Capt VS Rana, Station Commander Air Force Station Port Blair. Pamphlets on Road safety were distributed amongst the public of Port Blair during the rally. This initiative was not only to educate the air warriors & their families but also the common public of Port Blair on road safety.
