Port Blair, Oct 06: Life coach Asma DSouza, a trained tarot card reader, hypnotherapist, mind reader and self development trainer, was in the islands to do a series of sessions for varying age groups. On the 1st of October the students of the Medical College witnessed a fantastic session with Asma DSouza where they were left wanting for more after a technical session on the power of the subconscious mind.
The students with a strength of hundred were split in groups and introduced to elements of positive approach and self motivation. A day long kids workshop for age groups 6 – 14 years was held at the NAACH premises at RGT Road. Mrs. Sheela Singh, Chairperson PBMC inaugurated the workshop and gave a hint of the role of Municipality to the children.
The children were introduced to mirror work for developing self love. Group activities were done to help them understand each other’s personality. A lot of colors were used for drawing pictures, while Asma, the resource person deciphered each picture drawn by the students to understand each of their personality.
On the 3rd of October, an exclusive one on one interaction with the students of orphanage and old home at Ferrargunj, run by the Social Welfare Department was held on the initiative of Mrs. Komal Anand. It was an extremely emotional session with just everyone involved at the brink of tears.
4th of October was a saw an WHO AM I workshop held for adults at Hotel Driftwood for islanders from all walks of life. Personality tests, group activities for activating power of subconscious mind was the crux. Emphasis was on affirmations and how to live your life on a positive note and achieve your dreams by affirmations by making the seemingly impossible, possible.
Secretary, NAACH, Samhita Veda Acharya informed that it was an attempt to bring about a positive change in the overall thought pattern of our society. And that NAACH would organize several such workshops in the months to come which would be customized as per certain groups like for teachers, doctors, tour operators and students.
