Port Blair, August 16: A speeding Ford Eco Sport SUV jumped off the road and nose-dived into a drain at Dollygunj Junction yesterday at nearly 02:00 pm.
According to sources, the driver of the Eco Sport, a young boy, was driving the SUV at a very high speed because of which he lost control over his vehicle, resulting in the accident.
The driver and his friend in the vehicle suffered serious injuries whereas a girl inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Sources further said that fortunately the vehicle didn’t hit any vehicle or person otherwise it would have been very dangerous as the vehicle was at a very high speed.
On information a team of police immediately reached the spot and rushed all the injured persons to the hospital.
