Port Blair, Aug 3: The President, Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, has urged the Lt. Governor to consider a Mini Operation Theatre in the Community Health Center, Bambooflat. In a letter, Mr Sharma said that residents of Bambooflat and adjoining areas like Shoal Bay, Brindaban, Mathura, Ferrargunj, Jirkatang, Namunaghar, Shore Point, Hope Town, Stewardgunj, Mannarghat, Wimberlygunj etc are being referred to GB Pant Hospital for even minor operations. The CHC Bambooflat is a well-equipped health facility and opening a Mini OT with qualified doctor, if provided, will immensely benefit the residents of the region, he said.
