Port Blair, July 28: Acting on a tip off on Tuesday, a team comprising of ASI Rakesh Singh, HC Thimmi Raj, PC Somen Biswas, PC Milton Baul, PC Suraj Kumar and PC Arun Xaxa of Special Branch, CID raided a Bus at STS Bus Stand and seized 34 bottles of liquor from the possession of N. Ranjit S/o Late K. Narayanan (40 yrs), resident of VIP Road. He was arrested under A & N Excise Regulation 1876.
The general public have been requested to inform about any credible information pertaining to gambling, illegal sale or possession of liquor/drugs or any other illegal activity on the following telephone numbers- 100, 232586, 9434288536, 9474290250 & 233307. The identity of the informer will be kept secret, said the SP (CID) in a release.
