Port Blair, June 24: The Suicide Case of Rangat youth Govind Paul, which made headlines in local newspapers, could have been just an attempt by the youth, Govind Paul to mislead public and police, many believe.
Govind Paul reportedly jumped into the Austin II Nallah from the Austin II bridge of Mayabunder on 20th June 2015 night in a bid to commit suicide.
According to sources the person, Govind Paul, 36 years and a resident of Rangat reportedly left Rangat at 3 PM on Saturday last and told his wife that he is going to Mayabunder for some work.
Reports also suggests that at 6.40 PM Govind Paul, a businessman by profession, called his wife form Austin II bridge and said that he has reached Mayabunder.
At late night a police Jawan of Austin II Bridge found an abandon bike on Austin II bridge on which somebody has kept Cloths, Shoes, Mobile, Bag etc.
On suspicion that someone has jumped from the bridge, the police jawan informed the matter to the Police. Since then a massive search operation was launched by police to trace out the body but the body could not be found.
Now investigators and many other believe that the person Govind Paul might have not jumped into the water and instead of doing that he might have planned the entire plot to escape from Rangat. Many believe that Govind Paul might have taken the night bus from Austin II bridge and came to Port Blair on 21st June and on the next day by MV Swaraj Dweep he left for Chennai.
There are a few who claims that Govind Paul had made a fake ship ticket in the name of Sukranjan Nagoda with the help of a person at Sabri, Rangat and is presently travelling to Chennai and is expected to reach Chennai tomorrow.
The elder brother of Govind Paul have already left for Chennai today by 1.30 pm flight and it is expected that Govind Paul will be greeted by Andaman Police team at Chennai Port.
Sources told Andaman Sheekha that Govind Paul a private sub contractor had taken loan from various people and might have planned this suicide to escape from those, who have been running behind him for the money.
