Port Blair, Apr 17: The President of Andaman and Nicobar State BJP unit, Mr. Vishal Jolly, in a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands has requested to direct the concerned authorities to extend the time limit for revision of electoral roll/voter list/membership list of CSS Ltd., Port Blair for one more month.
The last date fixed for furnishing such information was 15/04/2015. He said, it has been learnt that only about 500 members have submitted their details to CCS Ltd. as on date, whereas, there are approximately 20,000 members on the rolls of the CCS Ltd.
He further informed that despite announcement regarding collection of Performa furnishing the details of members by all branches of CCS Ltd. from Diglipur to Campbell Bay besides the Head Office, the formats were neither supplied nor collected by the said branches.
In view of this, Shri Vishal Jolly has requested to the Lt. Governor to extend the time limit by a month and direct the authorities concerned to monitor the process.
The members of CCS should not be stopped from casting their votes in the election to the Managing Committee of CCS, to be held by June 24, 2015, the State BJP President said in his letter.
