Port Balir, Apt 17: The Chairperson of PBMC, Mr. M Arumugam today clarified that recruitment and selection of JEs in PBMC will be fully transparent and impartial. Reacting to a media report the Chairperson today said that the council will select candidates on the basis of a written examination by an agency of A&N Administration, that is independent of the Council.
“The question papers and evaluation will be done by the agency without any interference. On receipt of the final merit list of successful candidates, eligible candidates will be appointed solely on merit. Provision of interviews has also been done away with to ensure fair play,” the Chairperson added.
He said that it is emphasized here that a fully transparent procedure is followed by the Council.
“Hence it is appealed to the general public not to fall prey to such false propaganda. The candidates who are preparing for the written examination for the post of Jr. Engineer and other posts are advised not to be misguided by such motivated and baseless reports. The candidates are advised to prepare themselves to achieve high merit and come out with flying colours in the written examination,” the Chairperson added.
