Port Blair, Apt 17: It’s been a long struggle for a 78 year old resident of RGT road to get a street light, of his locality, repaired.
Since last four months the said senior citizen, Mr. Inder Nath is requesting PBMC officials to repair a street light in his locality but no one has paid any heed so far. He had called a dozen of times in the Complaint Cell of PBMC to register his complaint but in every occasion the receiver of the call refused to give him a complaint number, he alleges.
On 18 March 2015, he submitted a written complaint in PBMC and he was told that his complaint number is 125 but again since 18 March 2015 to 17 April 2015 no one came to repair the street light. Adding to the plight on more street light has developed fault in the area but the PBMC is still remains clueless.
Yesterday the Gentleman again went to the Complaint cell of PBMC and reminded about his complaint in reply Mr. Nath got only a phone call this morning in his land line number and the caller said he is unable to locate his house. Surprisingly the house of Mr. Inder Nath is located on the main road, hardly 50 mtrs away from PBMC’s RGT road site office.
Not only this Mr. Inder Nath has also lodged complaints regarding leakages of pipe line in his area but since last six month no one came to repair the pipe line, which is causing excessive loss of treated water on daily basis.
Now one can imagine how careless and negligent the staffs of PBMC’s complaint cell are, who takes every complaints too lightly.
one should respect the senior citizens voice.
