Port Blair, Mar 30: Vivekananda Cup Cricket Tournament, also known as Diglipur Premier League (DPL-4) which is being organized by the Regional Sports Council, was inaugurated today at Vivekananda Stadium, Diglipur.
The Superintendent of Police N & M Andaman Mr. Santosh Kumar Meena inaugurated the event. Speaking on this occasion he said that the enthusiasm of the youths for the sports which was seen here in these Islands were never seen anywhere and asked the participating teams to maintain the Harmony & brotherhood during the tournament.
The Asst. Commissioner of Diglipur declared the tournament open. Altogether 16 teams are participating in DPL-4.All the matches will be shown live through Diglipur Cable network.
