Port Blair, Mar 25: Under the scheme of National Young Leaders Programme the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat organized Motorcycle rally from Bakultala junction to Anganwadi, Rangat Bay on 25/03/2015 in order to mobilize, motivate and generate a feeling of volunteerism among members of youth clubs and mahila mondals and people in general. Awareness generation and motivational activities for promoting and practicing Shram Daan for 100 hours by youth club members in a year will be organized. The rally was participated by 40 youths from the nearest area of Rangat. On the occasion Shri Amit Anand (IFS), Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman, Rangat was the chief guest and he flagged off the rally in presence of Smti Bepari, Pradhan, Bakultala, Shri Anil Bepari, Ex- Pradhan, Bakultala and Shri N. Selva Kumar, Organising Secretary, RSS, Rangat. The chief guest in his speech appreciated the good initiative of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat. And he also appealed to the general public gathered on the junction to use dust bin. Further he added that to have toilet in a house will lead to the dignity of women.
The rally started from Bakultala junction to Angawadi, Rangat Bay via Rangat Bazar. In the valedicatory function of the rally Shri Manoj Biswas, Pradhan, Nimbutala was the chief guest and he thanked everyone in joining the rally and he added that merely joining in the rally is not sufficient but we should keep our surroundings and to motivate other people. At the end of the programme Shri Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat proposed vote of thanks and said that we should promote of the spirit of volunterism and to motivate people to join their hand in 100 hours Shram Daan in a year.
