Port Blair, Jan 16: The Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray has adopted the Ferrargunj Panchayat of South Andaman District to translate the concept into reality to effective implementation of the scheme of “Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY)” launched by Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India on 11th October, 2014, into a Model Gram Panchayat.
In this regard, the MP has solicited contributions/financial support from all concerned including Govt. officials/private & Govt. institutions/ establishments/ corporate sectors/business establishments, public individuals etc to improve the basic amenities, higher productivities, enhancement of human development, better livelihood opportunities, reduce the disparities, access to rights & entitlements, social mobilization, enrich social capital etc. in the villages of Ferrargunj Panchayat.
The contributions to this good cause may be remitted under the SBI A/c No. 034552442744 in the name of “Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY)”, which is being operated jointly by the District Administration of South Andaman District and office of the Member of Parliament.
The MP has assured transparency in accounting which shall be placed in the public domain from time to time, a communication said.
