Diglipur, Dec 07: Call it Andaman Sheekha Impact or side-effect, the IRBn jawans who were posted at Gram Panchayat Subhash Gram in 24 hour duty to protect the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s statue, have been withdrawn from the said duty.
According to sources the Jawans are visiting the site only once or twice a day just to check the statue for once and rest of the time they are doing their regular duties.
Earlier around 12 IRBn Jawans were sent to Diglipur for anti-poaching duty but ultimately they were sent for the guard duty of the statue. Andaman Sheekha carried a report regarding this on 1st December 2014.
