Diglipur, Oct 29: Uttam Mondal, a PGT teacher of Swaraj Gram School of Diglipur have allegedly attempted to molest a male student of class XII. The student on Sunday took his goats to the fields for grazing, when suddenly the teacher reached there and started talking with him very affectionately.
As per the student, after some time suddenly the teacher removed his dresses and undressed the boy. To utter dismay of the school going kid, the teacher allegedly started massaging various body parts of the boy. Anyhow the boy managed to run away from the place.
Extremely upset and scared with such unnatural behaviour the boy somehow mustered courage to inform his mother about this incident by writing a small note. His mother reported this incident to his father and soon both the parents informed a BJP leader of the area, Mr. Mahadev Gain about this incident.
Later in that day the villagers reached the Radhanagar outpost and informed about this matter but instead of filling a complaint the police officials asked the villagers to report this matter to the Principal.
When the matter became public, other teachers in the schools were shocked and they were naturally uncomfortable facing the children. However, the said teacher took normal classes and also planned picnic with students next Sunday. Today nearly 12 parents reached the school and met the Principal demanding immediate action against the said teacher.
The said teacher reportedly accepted his guilt and apologized infront of the parents and principal. When asked by the villagers, the said teacher apologized in writing and gave copies of apology letters to the parents too.
