Port Blair, Sept 26: Under the scheme ‘Promotion of Art Culture’ an amount of Rs. 10,50,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) has been earmarked to be released as GIA to PRIs for conducting Panchayat/ block level cultural programmes. This financial assistance in the form of GIA will be released @ Rs. 1,50,000/ (Rupees One lakh fifty thousand only) each to 7 Panchayat Samities of A & N Islands i.e. Campbell Bay, Ferrargunj, Rangat, Mayabunder, Diglipur, Hut Bay and Port Blair.
In his regard, the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration invites application from the respective Pramukhs or Executive Officers seeking GIA for the year 2014-15 in the prescribed form giving details of programmes to be conducted out of the GIA and UC in respect of previous grant at the earliest.
