Billyground, Aug 24: Considering the urgency and safety of public, the Administration today allowed movement of vehicles over the newly constructed RCC Bridge over Laukinallah.
The movement of vehicles started after the Chief Engineer of APWD cut a ribbon. However, this was not the formal inauguration of the bridge, this bridge was informally opened considering the urgency and pathetic condition of wooden Laukinallah Bridge.
In several occasions in past Andaman Sheekha had reported about delay in construction of this bridge.
According to reports it took 3 years to complete the bridge, which is 48 mtrs long and 11.15 mts in width. Beside I mtrs footpath in width is also made on the both sides. The total cost of the bridge is Rs. 4,28,19,993 and the bridge has been constructed by Uttam Kumar Saha Construction, Diglipur.
