Port Blair, Aug 20: The Department of Art and Culture, A & N Administration invites application from the local cultural institutions to seek financial assistance for the year 2014-15. As per the notified Grant-in-aid rules all registered organizations having its registered office in Andaman and Nicobar Islands with its objective of propagation of Art, Culture, National Integration and communal harmony and are active in such work for a period of not less that one year shall be considered eligible under these rules. Socio-Cultural Organization shall send application in a plain paper enclosing i) Utilization certificate in GFR-19A for the GIA released during the previous year. ii) The receipt & payment statement of accounts iii) The Income & Expenditure statement of accounts iv) the balance sheet and Performance-cum-achievement report for the year 2013-14. Incomplete application shall not be entertained.
A Committee shall scrutinize the application. The Committee shall draw up a list of Cultural Institution found eligible for the financial assistance and recommend the same to the Administration for release of Grant-in-aid. All the application should reach the Directorate of Art & Culture on or before 20.09.2014.
