Port Blair, Jan 27: The Government Employees Federation has called off the Dharna programme and relay Hunger Strike conducted by the Vanvikas Employees Association under the banner of GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES FEDERATION, on 25.01.2014 at 5.00 p.m. at Port Blair in the hands of its PRESIDENT Shri. P.KANNAN by giving fruit juice to relay hunger strikers.
Shri. P.KANNAN while addressing the gathering has declared call-off of all the Dharna Programme organized by Vanvikas Employees Association at Hutbay, Mayabunder, Katchal and Port Blair which was strongly supported and cooperated unitedly by all employees, workers and Officers of ANIFPDCL, after receiving a communication from Managing Director of ANIFPDCL regarding sanction of Rs. 10 crores accorded by President of India, which has been communicated by the Ministry of Environment & Forest (SU) Division, New Delhi as non plan loan assistance to meet out urgent liability of Salary / Wages to the Employees & Workers of ANIFPDCL.
The Government Employees Federation has expressed its heartiest gratitude to President of India, Ministry of Environment and Forest, Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Chairman and Managing Director of ANIFPDCL, Shri. Kuldip Rai Sharma, Patron, GEF for their collective valuable efforts put on for sanction of interim relief. Further, the GEF look forward their extreme support and cooperation for fulfilling the remaining genuine demands such as, uninterrupted disbursement of salary and wages, pay revision as per CPC and revival of ANIFPDCL.
The GEF also appreciated the representatives of all Associations and Unions for their support and Cooperation extended to make success of agitations.
