Port Blair, Dec 09: As a part of the Navy Day Celebrations, a Blood Donation Camp was organized under the aegis of HQ Andaman & Nicobar Command at INHS Dhanvantari on 06 Dec 13. The camp was inaugurated by Cmde Jatinder Singh, Naval Component Commander. Cmde Jatinder Singh emphasized the importance of conducting such camps frequently and urged all to come forward and donate blood for the benefit of the community. The camp elicited a very positive response with at otal of 136volunteers donating blood. The camp was supervised by Dr MK Mahato, Deputy Director, Blood Safety, A&N AIDS Control Society and Surg Lt Cdr Srujana D, INHS Dhanvantari and co-ordinated by Staff of GB Pant Hospital, INHS Dhanvantari and A&N AIDS Control Society.
