Port Blair, Dec. 05: In the 66th National Track Cycling Championship being held at Manipur Ms. Deborah, an Island Cyclist has won two gold medals in the 500 mtr (Senior) Time Trial by created a new national record clocking time 38:09 Sec. and 500 mtr Time Trial Junior created a new national record clocking time 37:59 Sec. This was informed by Shri S. Sengupta, Coach (Cycling) accompanying the A&N Island Cycling team.
It may be recalled that the ace Indian Cyclist had won two gold medals in the 500 Time Trial and Sprint event in the Jr. ACC Track Asia Cup Cycling Championship held at Bangkok, Thailand from 4th – 6th October, 2013. The Sports Department and Sports fraternity has congratulated her for the outstanding performance and expressed the hope that her hard work and dedication will bring more medals in the National Championship and inspire all youngsters, a communication received here said.
