Port Blair, Nov 20: With a view to provide a forum for children to pursue their natural curiosity and inventiveness to quench their thirst for creativity, a two-day Science & Craft exhibition organized by Vivekananda Kendriya Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Diglipur on Nov 19 & 20. The school children displayed their models and crafts in the exhibition. The students actively participated and various models were displayed by the school students that included water conservation, energy conservation, solar energy, water filtration.
During the exhibition, the participating students displayed their scientific and co- curricular talents through their models and exhibits. The exhibition provided an opportunity to all participating students, teachers and visitors to be acquainted with different kinds of equipment, devices and techniques. It enabled the students and teachers to generate scientific ideas for addressing various problems of the society and environment.
The exhibition also created awareness about environmental issues and concerns as also inspired children to devise innovative ideas towards their mitigation. Students along with the parents and public witnessed the event.
