ANIIMS Secures Approval for 20 MD/MS Postgraduate Seats for Academic Session 2026–27

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 6: Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), Sri Vijaya Puram, has been granted 20 Postgraduate (MD/MS) seats by National Medical Commission for the academic session 2026–27.

Admissions to the PG courses will be made through All India Quota (AIQ) counselling and State Quota counselling, based on NEET-PG 2026 merit. Out of the total 20 approved seats, 10 seats under the All India Quota will be filled through online counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while the remaining 10 seats under the State Quota will be filled through the counselling process conducted by ANIIMS.

Only NEET-PG 2026 qualified candidates who are residents of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are eligible for the 10 State Quota seats. The seats will be allotted to candidates with a combined merit among local students (Category I Tribals, Category IIIA-Settlers who were settled prior to 1942, Category IIIB-those who were settled under various rehabilitation schemes introduced after the reoccupation of Islands and Category IV- Other locals who have had 10 years education in the Islands

Applications are invited from eligible NEET-PG 2026-qualified candidates for admission to the PG courses at ANIIMS. Candidates may submit their applications through ANIIMS website: https://aniims.andamannicobar.gov.in

The provisional and final merit lists of eligible candidates will be published on the Institute’s official website and displayed on the Institute Notice Board as per the schedule given below.
