Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 06: In view of the upcoming festival of Diwali, South Andaman District Police has made comprehensive security arrangements across the district to ensure peaceful, safe and incident-free celebrations.
As part of the preparations, Peace Committee Meetings have already been conducted at all Police Stations, involving representatives of various communities, market associations, religious leaders and prominent members of the public to promote communal harmony and strengthen police-public coordination.
To ensure effective security and public safety, intensive mobile patrolling is being carried out across market areas, residential localities and other sensitive locations. In addition, dedicated police teams are conducting foot patrolling in high footfall, crowded areas and vulnerable pockets to enhance police visibility and prevent anti-social activities.
South Andaman District Police has made all necessary security arrangements and is maintaining heightened vigilance across the district. The entire South Andaman District Police force remains alert and prepared to ensure effective deployment of personnel, prompt response to any untoward incident and close coordination with the Police Control Room.
