Sri Vijaya Puram, November 3: Our Rights Organization (ORO) has written to the Director, Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs, A&N Administration, regarding a public grievance over the non-availability of a proper bus stand/passenger shelter at Caddlegunj, Ferrargunj Tehsil. In the letter, ORO Chairman Mr. C. Saravanan brought to the Director’s attention a genuine public grievance raised by the villagers of Caddlegunj, under Ferrargunj Tehsil, regarding the non-availability of a proper bus stand or passenger shelter in the area.
Due to the absence of an adequate passenger shelter, office-going employees, school-going children, elderly persons and other commuters are facing considerable inconvenience while waiting for buses, particularly during rainfall and adverse weather conditions. The situation causes hardship to daily commuters and raises concerns regarding the safety and comfort of passengers, especially school children.
In view of the above, Mr. Saravanan requested the Director to direct the concerned officials to inspect the location at Caddlegunj and take necessary action for the construction or provision of a suitable bus stand/passenger shelter at the earliest. He expressed hope that this genuine public issue will receive kind consideration and that appropriate steps will be taken in the larger interest and welfare of the residents of the area.
