
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 06: The CRC, PM SHRI GSSS Bambooflat, organized a CRC-Level Science, Mathematics and Arts Exhibition – “NEXAS 1” on 06 October 2026 with the objective of nurturing the innovative ideas, creativity, scientific temper and problem-solving abilities of children.
The programme was graced by Mr. Om Prakash, Deputy Director of Education (Planning), Directorate of Education, as the Chief Guest. Mr. A. Mani Muthu, Assistant Engineer (AE), APWD, Bambooflat, was the Guest of Honour. The programme was further honoured by the presence of Mrs. D. Padmawati, Pramukh, Bambooflat, and Mr. M. K. Hussein, Pradhan, Stewartgunj, as Special Guests. Mrs. Sulekha, Principal, GSSS Mannarghat, was also present as a distinguished guest on the occasion.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other distinguished guests, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge, creativity and learning.
Thereafter, Mrs. Jyothi, DEO, wimberlygunj,Coordinator, CRC Bambooflat and Principal, PM SHRI GSSS Bambooflat, addressed the gathering and extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries, teachers, students and participants. As a token of love and respect, the Chief Guest was welcomed with a sapling, conveying the message of environmental consciousness and sustainable development.
A melodious welcome song performed by the young students added charm and warmth to the occasion. The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other distinguished guests then visited the exhibition stalls and witnessed the various Science, Mathematics and Arts models and exhibits prepared and presented by the students. They interacted enthusiastically with the students and appreciated their innovative ideas, creativity, confidence and ability to explain their exhibits.
The students demonstrated remarkable communication and presentation skills, confidently explaining the concepts and applications behind their models. The Chief Guest, Mr. Om Prakash, Deputy Director of Education (Planning), was particularly impressed by the students’ command over language and confidence in presenting their ideas. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and acknowledged the contribution of the language teachers in developing the students’ communication skills.
The Chief Guest encouraged the students to develop the habit of reading books regularly, listen attentively to their teachers and continuously enhance their knowledge and skills. He motivated them to remain curious, creative and disciplined in order to become successful and responsible citizens.
The exhibition provided an excellent platform for students to transform their ideas into meaningful models and to learn through experimentation, creativity, collaboration and communication. It encouraged students to think beyond the classroom and apply their learning to real-life situations.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Nasreen Begum, PGT, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Special Guests, Principal, teachers, students and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of NEXAS 1.
The event was a memorable and enriching experience that successfully celebrated the innovative spirit, creativity, confidence and talents of young learners.
