Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 27: An INTUC Federation delegation called on the Chief Engineer, APWD, and submitted a charter of demands highlighting various issues faced by APWD employees.
The delegation included Mr. TSG Bhasker, National Vice President, INTUC (F); Mr. K.P. Usman, State President INTUC (F); Mr. Mohd. Rafi, General Secretary INTUC; and Mr. Anand Rao Vice-President INTUC.
The key demands included regularisation of DRMs, filling vacant and promotional posts, timely payment of OT allowance, repair of government quarters, conducting medical camps for workers, and several other welfare-related issues.
The Chief Engineer responded positively and assured the delegation that the issues raised would be examined and necessary action taken at the earliest.
